Koko’s Activity Centre, Port Moody (Metro Vancouver) – Where Kids Have Fun!

By PoMoDee

Are you looking to banish the winter blues or beat the summer heat?  Koko’s Activity Centre located in Port Moody, British Columbia, has it all for you in a comfortable and safe environment. With ample parking (yes, they can fit your RV), children between the ages of 6 months to 99 years are provided with the opportunity to participate in various activities, which promote physical fitness, socialization, creative expression, with well-defined areas for specific age groups & activities.  When the kids need a cool down, there is a movie viewing area and free face painting on the weekends.

Katelyn – a frequent Koko’s visitor (I am sure she would be there every day if her mom and dad would let her) says her favorite camp to attend is “Witches and Wizards”.

Koko’s had special offers throughout the year and Katelyn looked forward to Webkin Days, “I tried to be the first one through the door to get my new Webkin”! (Webkin days replaced in 2014 with special events and guests like Koko and Cinderella)

Best food at the café? Katelyn says “I love their cheese pizza and my mom loves the spinach and artichoke dip (chuckle).  Besides Katelyn’s favorite rides (she noted as ALL) she says she just loves Koko’s because it is fun and I can play!

Summer activities include offering all day camps where children can play and learn about different sciences and crafts, including video animation with Lego, Claymation and in Robotics, this happens throughout the months of July and August.

Last summer, Shirley, while visiting from 100 Mile House, was camping at Burnaby Cariboo RV Park with her two small grandchildren ages 3 and 6.  They awoke on the Friday morning of their stay to rain and immediately Shirley thought, “what am I going to do in the rain with the kids?” that’s when she looked at the Attractions section on www.travel-british-columbia.com and found Koko’s.  It was a glorious fun-filled day none of

them will forget!

Andrea McVey of Coquitlam loves Koko’s because that is when, in her kids eyes, she becomes bestest mom ever during her visits (usually once a month).  She looks forward to the fact that there is a comfortable adult lounge because  she can bring her Ipad, sip a hot coffee, catch up on mommy talks with other mommies and still be super mom by keeping an eye on her children from a viewpoint that encompasses the entire centre, she also added “there is no arguing with her children as they are too busy having fun!

Besides the obvious answer I expected from Alexandra on why she likes to come to Koko’s (her dad being the owner) Alexandra said “it is fun” and that her favorite thing to play on is the “twirly slide”, she really enjoys the mini burgers from the Koko’s Café as well.

Aside from year-round play (rain or shine), Koko’s is also known as “the best place to have a party” for birthdays, team wind-ups, company, family parties, or whatever occasion you would like.  You can enjoy a private party room for two hours, where you are assigned a party host to help make your day as pleasant as possible and unlimited rides, you can also order a variety of food and beverages from The Koko’s Café.  Best of all, they do all the cleaning.  To book a party, email info@kokos.ca
